Seemed like a good idea at the time . . .

I'll be the first to admit that getting naked ladies to wrestle in the "pro" style sounds like a great idea. This isn't like combining peanut butter and chocolate, after all. Naked women and wrestling definitely go together. The only problem, of course, is that the level of violence in the wrestling is directly proportional to the required skill of the participants. In other words, if you're just going to have two very attractive ladies tussle on the mat, they don't need to be all that skilled because they are just trying for pins and submissions. But when the action is supposed to replicate pro action -- well, then you've got a different story. Anyone who's read Mick Folely's autobiography or watched Hulk Hogan's reality TV show knows that professional wrestling takes a ridiculous amount of skill, an incredibly high pain threshold, and when you're done, you have one or more permanent disabilities. So, unless you can find beautiful women who are willing to put in that kind of effort (i.e., a nearly impossible mission), you wind up with the ladies sort of play acting pro wrestling. Which doesn't really work, since pro wrestling itself is (let's face it), a sort of play itself.
That being said, it's hard to argue with the shot of a busty lady being thrown chest first against the ropes.
And ladies in distress was also a good angle that the Naked Women Wrestling League took.
By the way, can anyone explain to me how Carmen Electra thought it would be a good idea to be associated with this product?

I frequently find myself watching a pro match with some skilled ladies battling it out, say Madusa Micelli vs Mimi Lesseos in the LPWA days, and wondering... This is great.. they throw each other around like they MEAN it... Why can't they just do it naked or at least topless? I also watch girls like Sue Bowser or Belinda Belle in a golden girls match, and as they strut their naked or nearly naked bodies around the ring, I always wondered what would happen if one or both of them actually took some time to learn the profession...

But alas... one seems to exclude the other. If you are willing to get naked, you aren't willing to put in the time. I am not talking about the time and training necessary to be the next Hulkster as you described, but the time necessary to learn a nice hip toss, or how to hit the ropes and come bounding off like a freight train... The basics you (evidently) learn in the first few days of a wrestling school.

Another drawback...you need two. One trained or even semi trained girl and a new comer are almost as bad as two new comers.

Hi,
I came upon your blog. I have always been fascinated by female
wrestling. It has been an interest of mine for as long as I can remember.
I've always wondered WHY I love it. Recently I began a blog which
will hopefully shed light on the common attribute we enthusiasts have.
Please check it out. Give it a mention on your blog and please add your two cents.
